The technology behind the  GIM products is provided by GIMtransfer. Both are products from GIM

The technology behind GIMstore

Your customers can download the CAD files on both your own website and in the general library of GIMstore. With this download, they can choose from the desired CAD format, so that it fits directly with their CAD software. Additional conversion tools are no longer necessary. This saves both time and frustration. This ensures a satisfied user and a higher probability that it will become or remain a customer.

The formats that can be downloaded are: .ifc – Industry Foundation Classes, .Stp & .Step – Standard for the exchange of product data, .iges & .igs – Initial Graphics Exchange Specification, .3DS – 3D Studio Max, .3MF, .AMF – Additive Manufacturing File, .assbin, .blend – Blender, .dae – Collada, .fbx – Filmbox, .glb & GLTF – Graphics Library Transmission Format, .OBJ – Wavefront, .PLY – Polygon File Format, .STL – Stereolithography, .X – DirectX 3D Graphics Legacy File.

When downloading the CAD files, the engineer can also choose the desired accuracy. This can be less accurate than you have offered, and of course, never more. That way, you don’t have extra work and your customers don’t.

If you choose to have the customer log in for download, or always, we keep who downloaded when. Contact us if you want to use this data. Of course, within the legally permitted limits.

The technology behind GIMpro

Working together on a project, it is nice that every participant can work with their own CAD software. You don’t even have to know what others are working with. GIM controls the communication between the various engineers.

With the current version, you can upload and download models. Soon, you can also choose to continue to synchronize actively. This will ensure that you only have to share a first version with the partners once, and from that moment on, constantly have access to the latest version. For this, you are not obliged to constantly work in the cloud. Occasionally, a connection is more than sufficient. In addition, much less data is sent to stay in sync. This is better for the mobile data bundle, but also for the environment.

You have probably heard how much power the data centers use. In addition, the networks to and from the data center also use so much electricity. Improve the environment and work cheaply, more pleasantly, and more efficiently at the same time!
